Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- Indonesia has officially completed the REDD+ Result-Based Payment (RBP) Green Climate Fund (GCF) Output 1 Project, implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLH), achieving a reduction of 20.25 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions.
KLH Secretary Rosa Vivien Ratnawati said in Jakarta on Tuesday that Indonesia successfully reduced 20.25 million tons of CO2e between 2014 and 2016.
In recognition of its performance in tackling climate change, Indonesia received international incentives amounting to US$103.8 million from the Green Climate Fund.
