Jakarta, Aug. 13 -- Indonesia and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) agreed to strengthen collaboration through various strategic initiatives, including human resource capacity development, innovation promotion, and increasing intellectual property (IP) literacy in the community for sustainable development.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono met with WIPO Director General Daren Tang in Jakarta on Tuesday, following up on their previous meeting in Geneva in February 2025.

During the talks, Sugiono and Tang discussed the development of an innovation ecosystem in Indonesia and explored opportunities to leverage IP to drive national economic growth.
