Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- Foreign ministers from Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and several Arab nations have welcomed the decision by Palestinian resistance group Hamas to respond to U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza.

In a joint statement issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, the ministers also expressed support for Trump's call for Israel to immediately halt its bombing campaign and initiate the proposed exchange process.

They commended Trump's commitment to fostering peace in the region.
