Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian appealed to regional governments to simplify business licensing as part of efforts to boost regional revenue.

This was conveyed by the minister at the 2025 National Coordination Meeting on Regional Legal Instruments in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, on Wednesday, according to a statement.

He emphasized the importance of increasing regional revenue as it can strengthen the region's fiscal capacity. In this regard, regions are urged to be open to the aspirations of business players and creative economy players to provide more efficient and effective licensing services.
