Public Service Agency promotes new funding model for conservation
Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni stated that three national parks officially designated as Public Service Agencies (BLU) are driving a more innovative funding model to strengthen the management of conservation areas.
In a statement made in Jakarta on Thursday, Antoni identified the three parks as Komodo National Park, Mount Rinjani National Park, and Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
Antoni explained that the BLU status allows revenue generated by each national park to be reinvested directly into the area.
