Jakarta, May 8 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto encouraged ASEAN member countries to accelerate energy diversification to address the growing global uncertainty.

"Energy diversification is no longer optional. It is vital, it is necessary. We must move faster. We must go through alternative sources and we must prepare renewables," he said at the plenary session of the 48th ASEAN Summit at Mactan Expo, Cebu, Philippines, on Friday.
