Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- President Prabowo Subianto announced on Tuesday that the government aims to develop 66 new hospitals in Indonesia's outermost and underdeveloped regions by the end of 2026.
According to the President, The Ministry of Health has already established 30 new hospitals across various regions this year, with another 30 planned for development next year.
"By the end of next year, we will have 66 new hospitals in remote areas where proper healthcare facilities have yet to be built-such as in Tobelo, Anambas, and Taliabu," Prabowo stated while inaugurating the Mahar Mardjono National Brain Hospital on Tuesday.
