Jakarta, Feb. 20 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed optimism about the Board of Peace initiative, which was established to help achieve peace in Gaza.

The president made the remarks in an interview after attending the Gaza Board of Peace Summit in Washington, United States, on Thursday local time.

"Let us look at the future plans. They seem very serious. We are determined for the Board of Peace to succeed because it offers hope for peace," he said.

Prabowo stated that the initiative provides genuine hope for a peaceful solution for the Palestinian people, although he acknowledged that achieving it will not be easy.
