Jakarta, Aug. 25 -- President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Police Commissioner General Eddy Hartono as the new head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

Hartono, who replaced Police Commissioner General Rycko Amelza Dahniel, was inaugurated as per Presidential Decree Number 117/TPA of 2025 on the Dismissal and Appointment of High-Ranking Officials within the BNPT.

The new BNPT head was inaugurated together with several other new state officials, including Police Inspector General Suyudi Ario Seto, who was inaugurated as the new head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

At the palace, President Prabowo guided Hartono in taking the oath of office as the new BNPT head.
