Jakarta, March 22 -- President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that his administration has designed the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program and other national strategic initiatives to achieve a minimum economic growth rate of eight percent.

He said that, through the MBG program, the government aims to empower 1.5 million workers across around 30,000 kitchens nationwide, with each kitchen projected to employ about 50 people, according to a statement from the Government Communications Agency in Jakarta on Sunday.

The program is also expected to indirectly support another 1.5 million people working for businesses and vendors supplying food ingredients to MBG kitchens, he added.
