Sumenep, E Java, July 15 -- Some 25 pedicab drivers, aged 60, from Sumenep District, Madura Island, East Java, have received electric pedicabs from President Prabowo Subianto to help them increase their daily incomes.

The president's donated e-pedicabs were handed over to the beneficiaries during an event held by the National Solidarity Movement Foundation (YGSN) and Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency (BP-Taskin) on Monday.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the e-pedicab handover event here, Sumenep District Head Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo expressed pride and gratitude for President Prabowo's support for local pedicab drivers.
