Jakarta, Dec. 15 -- President Prabowo Subianto has directed his aides to take immediate action to stabilize prices and secure sufficient supplies of essential commodities ahead of the heightened demand during the upcoming New Year holidays.

The President issued the instruction during a limited cabinet meeting held at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java, on Sunday, December 14, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"The meeting specifically discussed preparations for the New Year holidays, covering issues related to food security and the prices of basic goods," Wijaya stated on the Cabinet Secretariat's social media.
