Jakarta, March 31 -- Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Seoul at 7:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, beginning his official state visit to South Korea.

According to a statement received in Jakarta, Prabowo and his entourage traveled on board the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft, which touched down at Seoul Air Base.

Upon his arrival, the President was formally welcomed by a guard of honor and a 21-gun salute.

Following the ceremony, the President was greeted by South Korean Minister of Climate, Energy, and Environment Kim Sungwhan, South Korean Ambassador-designate to Indonesia Yoon Soongu, and Chief of State Protocol Kim Tae-jin.
