Jakarta, Oct. 27 -- President Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto have discussed plans to deploy troops for a peacekeeping mission in Gaza, officials said Monday.
TNI Information Center Chief Maj. Gen. Freddy Ardianzah said all strategic plans involving troop deployment are discussed in an integrated manner across ministries and institutions.
He emphasized that any overseas troop mission is carried out only under the President's instruction.
Ardianzah said the plan has been discussed with the Defense Ministry and Foreign Affairs Ministry, stressing that interagency coordination is key to ensuring the move aligns with Indonesia's foreign policy and non-aligned principles.
