Jakarta, Feb. 8 -- President Prabowo Subianto has expressed hope that Muslims in Indonesia will experience abundance and tranquility during Ramadan, the holiest month in Islam, as they observe the obligatory fast throughout the month.

"God willing, we will have a calm, joyful, and abundant holy month with our families," the president said in a message to Indonesian Muslims during Nahdlatul Ulama's (NU) 100th-anniversary commemoration in Malang, East Java, on Sunday.

The president emphasized that his government places the people above all else and encouraged Indonesians to help foster a peaceful and abundant Ramadan by maintaining national unity and solidarity.
