Prabowo welcomes eight new ambassadors, reasserts non-alignment
Jakarta, June 8 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received letters of credence from ambassadors of eight countries at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday before hosting them for a meeting in a chamber.
The diplomatic event began around 2 p.m. local time, with the president accepting Sri Lankan Ambassador Sumadhurika Sashikala Premawardhane, Philippine Ambassador Christopher Baltazar Montero, South Korean Ambassador Yoon Soongu, and Czech Ambassador Petr Kopriva.
Also presenting letters of credence were Palestinian Ambassador Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsattari, Greek Ambassador Dimitrios Michalopoulos, Lebanese Ambassador Salam Al Achkar, and Saint Lucian Ambassador Menissa Rambally.
