Jakarta, Oct. 29 -- President Prabowo Subianto has warned that the 214.8 tons of narcotics seized by the National Police over the past year could have endangered hundreds of millions of lives if not intercepted.

"The destruction of narcotics evidence seized by the police from October 2024 to October 2025 amounts to 214.8 tons, valued at Rp29.37 trillion," Prabowo said during a ceremony at the National Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the seizures reflect the government's commitment on strengthening political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, including the eradication of corruption and drug abuse.
