Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- President Prabowo Subianto urged the public, particularly those in Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, and areas around the Sunda Strait, to remain calm and vigilant following the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.

The president called on the public to follow government and on-site officials' instructions and avoid approaching Mount Anak Krakatau. He also asked people to observe the designated danger zones and safety limits.

"Please remain calm, increase vigilance, and follow all directions from the government and officials in the field. Do not approach the Mount Anak Krakatau area and fully comply with the danger zone and safety limits established by the authorities," he remarked in a statement on Sunday.
