Jakarta, Aug. 3 -- President Prabowo Subianto expressed support for increasing the frequency of joint military exercises between the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Royal Thai Armed Forces.

During a bilateral meeting with Thai PM Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace here on Monday, President Prabowo emphasized that cooperation between the two countries should be future-oriented, mutually beneficial, and contribute to a stronger and more stable ASEAN.

"In my view, we must strengthen our defense and security cooperation. We should increase both the number and the level of joint exercises between our armed forces. We should also expand the exchange of officers for training and education," President Prabowo said.
