Jakarta, Dec. 18 -- President Prabowo Subianto shared a simple breakfast of fried rice with evacuees and soldiers at a disaster shelter in West Sumatra on Thursday, highlighting hands-on leadership during inspections of emergency relief operations.

Visiting the communal kitchen at the Salareh Aia evacuation post in Agam District, Prabowo checked the morning menu prepared by Indonesian military cooks assisted by displaced women from the nearby villages.

The breakfast, fried rice topped with a sunny-side-up egg, was being served to residents staying at the shelter following recent disasters that forced families from their homes.
