Jakarta, May 20 -- Indonesia's House Speaker Puan Maharani said President Prabowo Subianto's direct presentation of the government's Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM-PPKF) for the 2027 fiscal year marked an important and strategic moment.

"The president's presence today is an important and strategic moment to affirm that the 2027 state budget is being designed to provide the greatest possible benefits to the Indonesian people," she said during a plenary session at the House of Representatives (DPR) building in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Puan described the KEM-PPKF as the initial framework for drafting the 2027 state budget and a tool for anticipating economic risks.
