Jakarta, June 1 -- President Prabowo Subianto stated that the natural resource export policy is a strategic government measure aimed at ensuring Indonesia's resource wealth delivers maximum benefits to the public.

He noted that a significant portion of profits generated from Indonesia's natural resources has flowed overseas rather than fully benefiting the Indonesian people.

"For too long, some of the profits from natural resources have flowed abroad and have not remained in the country. Therefore, we decided to implement a single-channel policy for natural resource exports," he said during his speech at the 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration in Jakarta on Monday.
