Jakarta, Oct. 22 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed his admiration for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, commending his resilience and leadership in advancing freedom and democracy in his country.

"We follow your struggle and admire your strength and commitment to freedom and democracy," Prabowo told Ramaphosa during a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace on Wednesday.

During a working lunch, Prabowo noted that Indonesia and South Africa share many similarities as two major nations in the Southern Hemisphere, both currently members of the BRICS group.
