Jakarta, Aug. 17 -- Indonesia's 80th Independence Day procession began with a devotional visit and reflection night at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta, led by President Prabowo Subianto.
Dressed in full black formal attire, the president arrived at the cemetery at midnight on Sunday, August 17, and immediately commenced the ceremony. He proceeded to the main monument and laid a wreath.
Presiding over the reflection night, President Prabowo led the troops and participants in a minute of silence to honor and pray for the national heroes.
