Prabowo hosts Modi for talks on strategic cooperation
Jakarta, July 7 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jakarta on Tuesday for talks aimed at strengthening cooperation in defense, trade, investment, energy, health and other strategic sectors.
Modi arrived at the Merdeka Palace at about 10:22 a.m. local time in a motorcade escorted by 17 Presidential Security Detail officers and a 120-member cavalry unit.
Prabowo greeted Modi on the palace's west porch. The two leaders shook hands, embraced and stood together for the Indonesian and Indian national anthems.
