Jakarta, May 23 -- President Prabowo Subianto affirmed Indonesia's food self-sufficiency achievement, including shrimp farming production in Kebumen, Central Java, amidst current global uncertainty situation and geopolitical turmoil affecting.

According to him, such achievement is the result of the government's strategic measures over the past 19 months to strengthen food self-sufficiency ensuring the stability of Indonesian people basic needs.

"In the last 18 months, since I took office in October 2024, we have achieved much. We are now self-sufficient in food, rice, corn, and protein," he remarked on Saturday.
