Jakarta, Oct. 18 -- The administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has recorded several achievements in the energy sector during its first two years in office, the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) said.

Bakom Deputy for Partnerships and Media Relations Kurnia Ramadhana said the efforts included increasing domestic oil production, developing renewable energy, saving foreign exchange through biodiesel, and expanding electricity access in remote areas.

"Energy self-reliance is one of the government's focuses in laying the foundation for national transformation," Ramadhana said in a statement on Sunday.
