Jakarta, Oct. 12 -- President Prabowo Subianto convened ministers and agency chiefs at the presidential palace in Jakarta on Monday afternoon to review the response to forest and land fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Dudung Abdurachman said he would report on measures taken, particularly in priority areas.

"Today's meeting will discuss forest and land fires because the president takes the issue seriously. Military, police, forestry, and disaster officials will join by Zoom," Dudung told reporters before the meeting.
