Jakarta, March 29 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto departed for Japan for high-level engagements, including a meeting with Emperor Naruhito, in a bid to deepen relations between both countries and elevate their strategic cooperation.
Accompanied by a limited entourage, President Prabowo took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta on Sunday at 10:35 a.m. local time, according to an official statement.
Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi saw off the head of state, alongside Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police (Polri) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
