Jakarta, June 10 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has approved a plan to expand the government's home renovation program in 2027 to broaden public access to decent and affordable housing units.

According to a statement from Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya cited here on Wednesday, the approval was given during a meeting with Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 9).

Wijaya said the President received a report on the progress of several priority housing programs, including the ongoing home renovation program targeting the revitalization of "400,000 uninhabitable houses into inhabitable and comfortable homes for residents in various regions".
