Jakarta, Nov. 1 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed that Indonesia is estimated to lose around US$8 billion every year due to capital outflows from online gambling activities, stressing the need for a global response to tackle the issue.

Speaking at the second session of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) in Gyeongju, South Korea, on Saturday, he emphasized the need for stronger international cooperation to combat cross-border crimes such as smuggling, corruption, drug trafficking, and online gambling, which undermine national economic stability.
