Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka opted for modern-style suits at the Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Friday.

Prabowo appeared in a black suit with a white shirt and light blue tie, complemented by a black peci hat, while Gibran wore a similar outfit but left his head uncovered. The vice president initially sported a red tie but later switched to match the president's color choice.

Their appearance marked a break from the tradition maintained by Seventh President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Thirteenth Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, who consistently wore traditional attire at MPR annual sessions.
