Jakarta, March 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim held a three-hour meeting in Jakarta on Friday, combining Eid al-Fitr goodwill talks with discussions on geopolitical dynamics and global strategic issues, the Cabinet Secretariat said.

"The meeting lasted about three hours, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. President Prabowo then accompanied Prime Minister Anwar in the same car to Halim airport," Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement.

Teddy said the talks at Merdeka Palace were warm and reflected the close personal ties between the two leaders.
