Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has ensured that Poso District, Central Sulawesi, will receive direct assistance to accelerate recovery following the earthquake that struck the area.

Chief of BNPB Suharyanto, here on Wednesday, said the distribution of assistance, which is based on actual needs, can proceed following the declaration of an emergency response status by the Poso District Government.

The emergency response status is officially in effect for 24 days, from August 18 to August 31, 2025.
