Ambon, Maluku, Oct. 4 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Health emphasized the role of the Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes) in Maluku in supporting equitable healthcare services, particularly in the frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions.
"Poltekkes plays a vital role in producing qualified health workers ready to be deployed across the country," Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said during a visit to Poltekkes Rumah Basudara in Ambon, Maluku, on Saturday.
Sadikin stressed that while global demand for Indonesian health professionals is increasing, this must be balanced with domestic needs, especially in archipelagic and 3T regions.
