Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- Indonesia recorded a surge in traffic violations captured and processed through its Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) system, with figures rising nearly fourfold between January and September 2025, police said Thursday.
Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), said the number of violations caught by ETLE cameras soared from 1,710,918 in January-August to 8,335,692 in the January-September period.
"I would like to express my appreciation for the ETLE enforcement from January to September 2025, which saw a very significant increase," Agus said during a press conference at Korlantas Polri headquarters in South Jakarta.
