Denpasar, Bali, Aug. 1 -- Police are investigating a fire that ravaged a tenant outlet on the second floor of the international terminal at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport on Thursday (July 30) that caused estimated losses of Rp10 million (around US$610).

No fatalities were reported in the Thursday night incident and investigators from the airport police unit are examining the cause, police spokesman First Inspector I Gede Suka Artana said.

"Currently, investigators are still conducting inquiries and gathering information related to the fire," Artana said in Denpasar on Saturday.

The preliminary assessment indicated the fire started from a meat grill machine before spreading through an exhaust ventilation system.
