Jakarta, Oct. 5 -- A total of 1,587 joint personnel were deployed to secure the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) at the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta on Sunday.

Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the deployment aimed to ensure the smooth running of the entire event, from the main ceremony and parade to the public entertainment stage open to all visitors.

Susatyo explained that the officers were drawn from the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police, and local precincts.
