Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- Indonesia's National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Tuesday reaffirmed the police force's commitment to supporting President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita agenda, particularly in advancing national food security.

Speaking in Jakarta, Prabowo emphasized that the police's role extends beyond law enforcement to include strategic contributions that directly impact public welfare.

One such effort is the establishment of the National Police (Polri) Food Security Task Force (Satgas Pangan), which monitors the distribution of key commodities, such as corn, to ensure smooth supply chains free from hoarding, fraud, or price manipulation.
