Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) has sent 2.5 tonnes of aid, valued at approximately Rp207 million (USD 12,622), to Bali to bolster emergency response efforts following recent floods.

Head of PMI, Arifin M Hadi, said here on Friday that the aid includes a water tanker, 500 sarongs, 500 mosquito nets, 200 hygiene kits, 50 family kits, 50 baby kits, and 10 tarpaulins measuring 4x50 metres. The logistics were sent from the regional warehouse in Gresik, East Java.

"The aid is expected to arrive at Bali PMI office on Friday afternoon, and it will be managed and distributed by PMI to people who are affected, in accordance with assessment regarding people's needs," Hadi stated.
