Jakarta, Aug. 12 -- The Ministry of Trade has announced that 90.68 percent, or around 7,257 categories of Indonesian goods, can now enter Peru tariff-free under the Indonesia-Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Director general of international trade negotiations at the ministry, Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, said that the products benefiting from the import tariff exemption include motor vehicles, footwear, textiles, palm oil and its derivatives, manufactured goods, and household appliances.

"In quantitative terms, we will receive preferences for more than 90 percent of tariff lines in Peru. Conversely, Peru will also receive similar treatment from Indonesia," he informed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
