Jakarta, Aug. 1 -- State-owned energy enterprise PT Pertamina (Persero) announced a price reduction for its non-subsidized Pertamax fuel series effective August 1, 2026, marking the first rate drop since prices spiked in June due to geopolitical conflicts.

According to the official announcement confirmed on Friday (July 31), the price of non-subsidized Pertamax in the Greater Jakarta area will decrease from Rp16,250 (approximately US$0.90) to Rp15,950 (US$0.88) per liter.

The price of Pertamax Green will also drop from Rp17,000 (US$0.94) to Rp16,600 (US$0.92) per liter, while Pertamax Turbo will see a reduction from Rp19,300 (US$1.07) to Rp18,300 (US$1.01) per liter.
