Jakarta, March 26 -- More than 62,000 vehicles passed through the Cikampek Utama toll gate toward Jakarta on Wednesday as return traffic from the Eid holiday continued to surge, toll operator PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol said.

A total of 62,527 vehicles were recorded heading to Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama, or Cikatama, gate in Karawang, West Java, underscoring sustained pressure on key routes during the post-holiday return period.

JTT Vice President for Corporate Secretary and Legal Affairs Ria Marlinda Paalo said about 23,000 vehicles were recorded during the first shift on Wednesday alone, indicating traffic volumes remained elevated.
