Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted that loans extended by banks belonging to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) were distributed across various borrower segments, not only state-owned enterprises (SOEs) but also the private sector.

OJK Chief Executive of Banking Supervision Dian Ediana Rae said that Himbara's lending grew 16.95 percent year-on-year (yoy) in July 2026, up from a 7.63 percent growth rate recorded in the same month a year earlier.

"The growth was supported by an increase in loans extended to various borrower segments, indicating that lending is not concentrated in SOEs," he noted in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.
