Indonesia, Oct. 12 -- The clove commodity from Lombok Utara District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, has successfully entered the market in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Head of the NTB Trade Office, Jamaluddin Malady, said the export achievement marks the revival of the region's leading commodities.

"When local commodities like cloves break into the global market, it should inspire innovation and the development of other commodities," said Malady, representing the NTB Governor during the export release event at Teluk Nara Terminal, Lombok Utara, in a statement received here on Sunday.

He emphasized that this momentum should be seen as part of efforts to encourage downstreaming and enhance the added value of local products.
