Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- No Indonesians are among the hundreds of fatalities in flash floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in Pakistan since mid-August 2025, according to Indonesia's Foreign Ministry.
Judha Nugraha, Director for the Protection of Indonesians at the ministry, stated that the Indonesian Embassy in Islamabad has been in contact with Indonesians residing in Pakistan, including those in Buner District, one of the hardest-hit areas.
"Our information concludes that no Indonesian has fallen victim to the flash floods and landslides in Pakistan so far," Nugraha said in a written statement received here on Friday.
