Jakarta, Aug. 8 -- Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said a National Identification Number matching with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) showed none of the ministry's social assistance recipients were among the 10 million dormant accounts.

"After checking, none of the dormant accounts matched with National Identification Number (NIK) from the Ministry of Social Affairs' social assistance recipients," he said in response to reporters' questions following a limited meeting with Head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana in Jakarta on Thursday.

He explained that this finding highlights the importance of multi-layered verification in the social assistance distribution process to prevent leaks or misdirected aid.
