Jakarta, Oct. 5 -- The Tanjung Lesung Tourism Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Banten, Indonesia, is preparing new aerosport facilities, including skydiving and recreational aviation, which are expected to begin operations in December.

"The main works involve creating a nine-hectare landing zone, extending the aircraft parking area, and building a taxiway," Operational Director of PT Banten West Java (BWJ) Kunto Wijoyo said in a statement released here on Monday.

"The runway will also be extended by 200 meters to ensure safer landings," added Wijoyo, who also serves as the head of Salakanagara Tanjung Lesung Airport.
