Jakarta, Nov. 1 -- The Indonesia National Library (Perpusnas) is preparing reading materials on nutrition to support national literacy improvement through the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).
Perpusnas Head E. Aminudin Aziz said here on Saturday that the nation's intellectual development depends not only on proper nutrition but also on the availability of quality reading materials accessible to the public.
"Children need more than nutritious food, they also need reading that nourishes their minds. Perpusnas facilitates this by providing quality materials and broad literacy access," Aziz stated.
He emphasized that nutrition and literacy complement each other in building a superior Indonesian human resource.
