Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- Personnel from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and partner forces from the United States, Japan, Australia, and Canada honed air evacuation skills during a medical evacuation (medevac) drill at Super Garuda Shield (SGS) 2026.

In a press release issued Thursday, Sept. 3, the TNI Information Center stated that the drill aimed to improve tactical capabilities while strengthening multilateral ties between Indonesia and partner nations.

Held at the Army Combat Training Center in Martapura, South Sumatra, the exercise simulated the evacuation of a soldier wounded in combat. Field medics provided immediate first aid and secured the area while awaiting a medical extraction helicopter.
